Episode 63 - Conversation with Mike Kett "Forged by The Fire"
Friday Jun 05, 2020
Friday Jun 05, 2020
Mike Kett moved out of the house at age 15.
By age 16 he was hanging around with a new group of friends. A choice that created a new dynamic to a turbulent life.
He started dabbling in drugs and heavy drinking.
At age 18 he became one of the hidden homeless, living in a friend’s backyard in a camping trailer with no heat, electricity, or source of water during the cold Canadian winter.
By age 19, he was in jail for beating up a police officer’s son in his own driveway.
At 21 Mike was let go from his job due to “corporate restructuring”. This would be one of the 54 jobs I would have before age 35.
At 23 he was living in the basement of the coffee shop where he worked making $7 dollars per hour with no shower and no running water. He would take a “bird bath” in the restroom sink before opening the doors to the café at 6am every morning or he would take the hour and a half round trip to the YMCA to clean my body after work.
Fast forwarding to the present day, Mike is very happy man and is Forged By The Fire.
Mike has a loving wife and 3 beautiful children. He lives in a nice neighborhood and is in the top 5% of all income earners in North America.
Mike is the host of a live talk show on Facebook called Mind-Body-Bank Account where he talks with movers, shakers and change makers about life hacks, productivity optimization and others strategies to create the life you want…and deserve.
He says "I have learned to not let past mistakes and defeat define me. I have learned that there is a lesson and the seed of opportunity hidden in what looks like failure."

Jonathan Tarrant is a Self-Discovery Coach for men. He’s an enthusiastic writer, author, public speaker and creative. Jonathan believes that the root of humanity’s conflict and strife is the disconnection that so many of us experience. Disconnection from ourselves, from each other and from the planet itself. He has come to this awareness through incredibly challenging personal experience and a very hard won awakening.
He is the visionary founder and CEO of Live-More, a platform which is a global engine for social change and personal growth, like the world has never seen before. He has had lots of excellent help along the way and continues to develop strength and clarity within himself and especially within those he coaches or interacts with.
From Jonathan’s experience and through Live-More, has come a powerful online course called The Lost and Found Man. This is a course aimed at men who are disconnected from their lives and from themselves. It offers a number of hard-hitting lessons intended to challenge, inspire and awaken these men so that they can love themselves and find control, purpose and joy.
Jonathan’s greatest mission in life is to be the man that he needed most when he was younger and help other men to do the same.
Jonathan was born in Toronto. He has many interests, including all sorts of music, art and architecture, motorcycles, jeeps, writing, nature and the health of our planet.
Jonathan absolutely loves to travel and experience new cultures. He loves meeting new people and especially loves good food. He is grateful to have finally found himself and to have been given the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.
